Here are the information technology moments from this episode:
-Batman makes an improvement to his utility belt that allows him to cover the CB band.
-Batmite triggers an intruder alarm and Batman and Robin are able to see his unwanted entrance in the garage through the Batcomputer
-Batman answers a call from Commissioner Gordon using a hidden telephone stored in a wooden barrel.
-Batman and Robin determine that the next ship that will arrive in the Bermuda Rectangle will arrive in six hours and ten minutes. These ships have been radio controlled and are delivering a device that is able to gather lots of energy from the sun. In the wrong hands, it could cause serious destruction.
-Batman contacts Commissioner Gordon using the Batplane’s radio. He shares the results of Barbara’s crime computer search with the Commissioner and identifies a possible suspect
-Batman breaks out the Batsonar to see if he can pick up the Professor’s voice.
-As shown, the Professor is in a pretty intense computerized submarine base with the ability to intercept radio messages above the sea and capture live video feeds. The Professor is also able to issue commands to the sharks.
-Robin uses CB language to avoid having the Professor jam his emergency call to Commissioner Gordon: “10-5 for Chief Smokybear Worthington (worthington is Commissioner Gordon’s middle name)
-Batman uses a Bat buzzer to disarm the shark but has to find the right frequency
-Batman hacks into the transatlantic telephone cable’s subcarrier’s frequency. The phone line is DC but the electric eels chasing Batman are AC, thus Batman can neutralize his opponents.
