Batman: Secrets of the Batcave

This book is a collection of different comic book stories about the Batcave. There is some overlap between the stories presented in this book and the stories in The Batman Annuals Volume One. The book also takes a look at the features and technology of the Batcave from 40s to the present. Some interesting stories include:

Dinosaur Island: World’s Finest Comics #30, Sep/Oct 1947, story about using giant robot dinosaurs to hunt the world’s most dangerous game – Batman and Robin!

The Thousand and One Trophies of Batman: Detective Comics #158, Apr 1950, Batman and Robin talk about the trophies in the Batcave and have a battle with a criminal in the cave. Interesting perspective on criminal science and technology.

The Flying Batcave: Detective Comics #186, Aug 1952, Batman and Robin take the Batcave to the skies due to a promise Batman makes with a criminal in exchange for Robin’s life. A flying Batcave is always interesting for science and technology.

The 100 Batarangs of Batman: Detective Comics #244, Jun 1957, Batman and Robin talk about the various Batarangs they have used to fight crime and try to find out which batarang criminals are planning to use.

The Man Who Falls: Secret Origins of the World’s Greatest Super-Heroes, 1989, great origin story that explores the science and technology roots of the Batman briefly.

The 1,000 Secrets of the Batcave: Batman #48, Aug/Sep 1948, another story about a fugitive in the Batcave. Good for learning more about the Batcave.
