Batman Begins was the 2005 Batman franchise reboot directed by Christopher Nolan. For my money, it is the best Batman movie to date. Batman Begins explores the origins of the World's Greatest Detective as he learns and eventually fights against the international terrorist Ra's Al Ghul. One of the major themes in Batman Begins is that in order for Batman to be successful, he must become more than a man in the mind of his opponents. In order to do so, he needs to be representative of something that is indestructible and everlasting. Therefore, Bruce Wayne turns to the Applied Sciences division of Wayne Enterprises in order to use science and technology as part of his means towards that end. Here are some of those means:
-Body armor suit
-Memory fiber for the cape
-Bat tumbler
-Radio headset within bullet proof cowl
-Fireproof Batsuit as tested by the Scarecrow
-Sonic device to call bats
-Magnetic grappling gun
-Periscope (gives to the kid)
-Batarangs
-Ninja spikes for hands and feet to climb walls
-Mini-explosives
-Mini-cell phone (calls Alfred when overwhelmed by weaponized hallucinogen)
Overall, this movie is great reference material for looking at what kinds of technology would Batman use today.
