Batman Unauthorized - Vigilantes, Jokers, and Heroes in Gotham City

This book contains a series of 18 scholarly essays about Batman and is edited by Dennis O'Neil with Leah Wilson. While none of these essays specifically focus on Batman's relationship with technology, the collection of essays provides an excellent guide as to how to approach my thesis in a scholarly way. However, there were two essays that were interesting. "The Cost of Being Batman" calculated how much money a person would need to become Batman and mentions the cost of certain pieces of technology such as the Batcomputer, and this essay is written by Darren Hudson Hick. "Batman in Outer Space" talks about the science fiction comics of Batman in the 1940s and 1950s and discusses some futuristic technology that may now exist in the real world such as rockets and a device that emits electrons to create disturbances in the atmosphere. This essay is written by Mike W. Barr. In addition to these essays, the book has provided me with some additional sources that I should check out:
