The part of this paper that is interesting to my thesis is the discussion of Batman's use of technology in the comic books vs. television, and was written by Richard J. McGowan. On pages 3 and 4 of the pdf, McGowan makes the distinction that Batman used the latest technology to solve problems in the comic books, but when the Dark Knight entered the medium of television, the technology became outdated such as using suction cups to scale the walls of a building. This comparison is fairly interesting showing how the level of technology Batman uses is dependent on the interpretation of the masked vigilante.
