This book considers the scientific plausibility of villains in the comic book world and is written by Lois H. Gresh and Robert Weinberg. While this book does not primarily focus on the Rogues Gallery of the Dark Knight, there is a chapter devoted to Poison Ivy and another chapter to Bat-Mite. The chapter on Poison Ivy is particularly interesting as the authors determine if someone like Poison Ivy could exist. The chapters are short but can serve as valuable starting points. I have photocopied both of these chapters.
I found this book using the PSU Library: Gresh, Lois H., Robert Weinberg. The Science of Supervillains. Hoboken, New Jersey: John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2005. Print.
