Current issues of the various Batman comics seem to indicate that Alfred is a pioneer in and has also mastered several fields of computer programming, computer engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, nanotechnology, and biotechnology as he single-handedly builds, programs, and maintains much of the Batman's next-generational technology such as the Batcomputer.[11]
